B.Y.O.S. – Bring Your Own Spoon
To help reduce waste and cut down on single-use plastics, we’re encouraging students to bring a reusable spoon from home.

We’re so excited to once again partner with Babar Books for our annual Edinburgh Book Fair, taking place both online and in person this February! It’s a wonderful opportunity to stock up on great reads while supporting our school — a portion of all sales goes directly toward new books for our library and classrooms.

Babar Books will be at Edinburgh on Thursday, February 5 from 8am - 6pm with a curated selection of English and French books. Students will have the opportunity to browse during the school day and may have the option to purchase a book or create a wish list to share with their families.

A quick note for families: Book fairs can be very exciting for children, and book prices can vary. Families may wish to talk with their child ahead of time about expectations around purchasing — whether that means choosing one book, setting a budget, or simply browsing and saving favourite titles for later.

Parents and guardians are warmly invited to shop after school. Prices start at $7.99.

Both the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30th. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Orange Shirt Day is an Indigenous-led grassroots commemorative day intended to raise awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of residential schools.

This year, the Home & School Association is excited to partner with Iron Horse Wear House, an indigenous business located in Kahnawake, to facilitate the purchase of an orange shirt for Orange Shirt Day for you and your child!

Your order must be submitted by September 2 at 8:00 PM so your purchase can be delivered to your child prior to Orange Shirt Day. Edinburgh School has invited its community to show their commitment and support by wearing an orange shirt in lieu of the usual dress code on September 30.
